This week we continued our three-lesson series on “Jesus and the People.” This week’s conversation focused on a man named Zacchaeus, and while he is more known for his height, our discoveries went much deeper than that.
We talked about how Jesus came to forgive EVERYONE, regardless of their social standing or their personal reputation. Zacchaeus was the perfect example of this because he didn’t seem like the kind of person who would respond to Jesus’ message—or the kind of person Jesus would spend time with. It didn’t make sense to the people in the community because Zacchaeus was a known sinner, but it made complete sense to Jesus.
